We are a small scale, breeder certified and family-owned kennel located in Stevenson Alabama. We are very passionate about our dogs and what we do. We hand raise our puppies in our home with absolute care and affection. We use a selective breeding process to produce excellent quality AKC puppies. Our breeding program is focused on producing desired temperament, disposition and health. We start training and socialization with our puppies at a very early age. We accommodate our puppies with an outdoor potty area, indoor and outdoor play area and plenty of toys. Our Giant and Miniature Schnauzer puppies have their tails docked and our Miniature Schnauzer puppies have their dew claws removed as well. We follow a deworming schedule provided by our veterinarian. Our puppies visit our veterinarian at 6 weeks of age for a check-up and their first vaccination. We stand behind our puppies with a lifetime health guarantee. The majority of our puppies are picked up from our home by their new families, however, we are willing to meet families or flight them to families outside of driving distance. Please contact us for more information on these options.
We test our breed stock to insure that we are doing the best we can to produce top quality, healthy puppies. We are not just breeders, we are also trainers with over 20 years of training experience. We test our breed stock to insure that we are doing the best we can to produce top quality, healthy puppies. We are not just breeders, we are also trainers with over 20 years of training experience. We introduce our puppies to training at 5 weeks of age. Our puppy headstart program teaches our puppies the meaning of "here" and "sit." We also work with them on crate training, so they are practically crate trained by the time they go to their fur-ever homes. The majority of our puppies are sleeping throughout the night at 8 weeks of age.
Our puppies are sold as pets and come with AKC registration and a written lifetime health guarantee. We instill confidence in our puppy owners by providing them with the information needed; from grooming, to preventing bad habits, as well as, house breaking and crate training. We do our best to get our puppies and their new family off to the best start possible, and with the lifetime breeder support we provide, we don't stop there. We are just a phone call away and always happy to answer any questions or provide advice. We want your family's experience with us and our puppies to be the best. We also offer boarding for puppies from us at any age and training for Giants from us at 6 months of age. Click below to see information and prices on the training that we offer.

The Standard Schnauzer or Mittelschnauzeris thought to be the breed that all modern Schnauzers derived from. The Standard Schnauzer was developed in Germany during the middle ages. They were bred for ratting and vermin control as well as guarding. Schnauzers were considered peasant dogs for farm and utility work for most of their history. In the 19th century, the Schnauzer caught the eyes of German dog fanciers. It was during this time that the Giant and Miniature Schnauzers were established as secondary breeds of the Standard. The Standard Schnauzer was shown in Germany as early as 1879 and gained American Kennel Club recondition in 1908.
The Giant Schnauzers or Riesenschnauzers are thouht to have been formed by crossing the Standard with other large working dogs such as; Great Danes, Bouvier des Flandres, German Pinschers and Standard Poodles. The Giant Schnauzers were bred up to produce a larger working dog with more power to drive cattle to market. They also served as formidable guard dogs for farmers, merchants, and innkeepers. After railroads rendered cattle drives obsolete, Giants found work as European police and military K9's. In America, Giants gained renown as eye-catching show dogs, obedience champions, and courageous guardians of home and family.
The Miniature Schnauzers or Zwergschnauzers are thouht to have been formed by crossing smaller Standards with Miniature Pinschers, Affenpinschers, and Miniature Poodles. The Standards were bred down to produce a smaller varmint dog for farmers to keep inside their homes as family pets.
Giant and Standard Schnauzers belong to the AKC Working Group while the Miniature Schnauzer, with it's rat-dog background, resides in the AKC Terrier Group. The Miniature Schnauzer is the only dog in this classification that doesn’t sport the name "terrier" and it all has to do with were they originated.
